Earlier last month, the US Coast Guard attempted to search a ship named “Bella 1” in the Caribbean Sea. The US claimed that the ship was transporting Iranian oil in violation of US sanctions. However, after the search failed, the ship suddenly changed course and changed its name to “Marinera”. At the same time, it is reported that it was re-registered under the Russian flag from Guyana, which further complicates the situation.

About 10 US military transport aircraft and several helicopters were seen around the ship as it sailed towards Europe. This scene has created new concerns in the international community.
