Call to boycott India in Muslim world, new movement begins

In continuation of this, major changes are being observed in the visa process of Indian citizens in the United Arab Emirates, an important country in the Middle East. International media reports say that the rate of cancellation of tourist visas for Indians in the country has increased significantly. Whereas earlier the visa approval rate was close to 100 percent, a large portion of applicants are now facing visa denials as a result of the new policy.

The new visa policy will no longer make the process as easy as before for Indians. Along with specific and acceptable information, it has been made mandatory for applicants to submit copies of air tickets. If someone wants to stay at a relative's house, they will also have to provide proper proof, which will be approved after verification.

There have been allegations that Indian tourists and expatriates are facing financial losses as a result of this change. Especially since the United Arab Emirates is one of the largest remittance sources for India, the concerned parties fear that the visa restrictions may also affect the country's economy.
