Russian President Vladimir Putin said in the context of the ongoing conflict and humanitarian disaster in the Middle East, Gaza has become the largest cemetery for children today. At the same time, he commented on the US President's peace proposal and said that if this proposal paves the way for a two-state solution, Russia is ready to support it. However, he questioned the vagueness of the proposal.

In a speech on Friday (October 3), Putin said, "The situation in Gaza is the most terrible event in modern human history. Even UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres admitted that Gaza has become the largest cemetery for children today."

He added, "We are ready to support Trump's proposal, but its ultimate goal must be a two-state solution. The most important question is - what do the Palestinians think about this proposal."

According to international analysts, Putin's comment is not only a call to attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, but also a message to clarify Russia's diplomatic position in the peace process in the Middle East. Experts say that while Russia has shown partial support for the US proposal, it has also taken a strategic position by directly highlighting the importance of Palestinian views.
