Trump's laughter at the UN, the escalator suddenly stopped as he climbed the escalator!

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrived at the UN headquarters in New York on Tuesday (September 23) to attend the UN General Assembly. While entering, the escalator suddenly stopped unexpectedly. The incident sparked a storm of discussion as world leaders and diplomats present there noticed it.
UN authorities said in a preliminary investigation that Trump's own videographer may have been responsible for the outage. He inadvertently activated the safety function while recording a video while facing upside down on the escalator. This caused the escalator to stop immediately. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that this safety function is designed in such a way that if someone accidentally gets caught in the mechanism, the escalator stops immediately.
Immediately after the incident, Trump joked in his speech,
“I got two things from the UN – a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter.”
Many of the world leaders present laughed at his comment.
However, the White House did not take the incident lightly. Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt wrote on social media X, “If anyone at the UN intentionally blocked the escalator, they should be fired immediately and investigated.”
Not only the escalator, Trump ran into another problem that day. His teleprompter was also not working while he was giving a speech at the General Assembly. In this regard, Trump also joked, “Whoever is operating this teleprompter is in big trouble.”
Meanwhile, UN General Assembly President Annalena Baerbock later clarified, “The UN teleprompter is working fine. The White House used its own teleprompter.”
Overall, Trump's visit to the United Nations has provided food for not only political rhetoric, but also technological disruption and humor.
