Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Nepal's newly appointed interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki. He also assured India's full support in efforts to restore peace and stability in the country after the recent Gen-G protests in Nepal.

This information was revealed on Narendra Modi's verified Facebook page on Thursday. He also conveyed India's unwavering support to Sushila Karki's efforts to restore peace and stability in Nepal.

The Indian Prime Minister also greeted the people of Nepal on the occasion of Nepal's National Day, September 19.

Earlier, on the night of September 12, former Chief Justice of Nepal Sushila Karki took oath as the interim Prime Minister. Upon assuming office, she said that the country will hold national elections within the next six months under the leadership of the interim government. Shortly after taking oath, he announced the dissolution of parliament.
