Ending all speculation, former Chief Justice Sushila Karki is going to take oath as the new and first female Prime Minister of Nepal. She will take oath at 9 pm local time on Friday (September 12). This information has been given by the Office of the President of Nepal.

It is learned that there was a discussion between the representative of the Gen-G generation protesters, President Ram Chandra Paudel and Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel. After that, everyone agreed on the decision to make Sushila Karki the Prime Minister.

A source said that an interim government will be formed under the leadership of Sushila Karki. The size of her government's cabinet will be small and she will hold the first cabinet meeting on Friday night. From this meeting, she will propose to dissolve the central and provincial parliaments.

Nepal's Gen-Gers went on a movement last week to protest the ban on social media. Meanwhile, on Monday (September 8), protesters were shot at as they tried to enter parliament, killing several people. Protests soon spread across the country.
