Explosion at cricket field, 1 dead

At least one person was killed and several others injured in a bomb blast during a cricket match in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The injured are being treated at a local hospital after the incident.
Local police said the attack was carried out using an IED (improvised explosive device). Videos circulating on social media showed the field filled with smoke and people running in all directions after the explosion.
Police suspect that the militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) may have been involved in the attack. The Pakistan army has been conducting “Operation Sarabqaf” in Bajaur district since last July, which has raised fears of retaliatory attacks by the militant group.
Earlier, a policeman and a local citizen were also injured in an attack on Lagharai police station in Bajaur.
