Iran could build nuclear weapons within weeks: US intelligence chief Tulsi Gabbard's warning

US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard recently made an important claim. She said that the US has information that indicates that Iran could be able to build nuclear weapons within just a few weeks if it wants to. This news was first reported by BBC Bangla.
In a post on social media, Tulsi Gabbard said that the US intelligence community has information that raises concerns about Iran's nuclear activities. She mentioned that this information suggests that Iran, if it wants to, can acquire the capability to build nuclear weapons in a very short time.
Tulsi Gabbard's statement has already sparked controversy. In a Senate committee hearing last March, she accused the media of misrepresenting her statement. At that time, Gabbard said that the US intelligence community does not believe that Iran is currently building nuclear weapons.
The comments come at a time when US President Donald Trump has repeatedly opposed Tulsi Gabbard's statements on Iran, saying she is spreading misinformation. On the other hand, Iran has taken a clear stance on the security of its nuclear program. The Iranian government has repeatedly stated that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful and that it has the right to enrich uranium under international law and agreements.
The international community, and especially those involved in nuclear energy regulation, are taking these issues seriously. Western countries have long been concerned about Iran's nuclear capabilities, and new information could further complicate the crisis.
