US President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance are attending a special dinner to raise money before their inauguration. The dinner has been organized after their inauguration ceremony on Monday.
Tickets to attend the dinner start at $50,000 and the highest price has been set at $1 million. A total of five types of tickets have been arranged—$50,000, $100, $250, $500, and $1 million.
Although the event was supposed to be held in the cold Washington, it has been decided to organize it indoors due to the extreme cold and cold wave. Trump said that the main purpose of this dinner is to raise a specific fund. There will be an opportunity to communicate directly with the president and vice president through the purchase of tickets. However, this facility can be obtained only if a minimum of two tickets are purchased.
Large donations of $1 million have already been received. The organizing committee has so far raised $170 million and is aiming to raise another $200 million. More than 220,000 tickets have been distributed to the public for the swearing-in ceremony.
