There have been reports of the TikTok app being down in the US. When the app is opened, a message is displayed on the screen, which reads, "Sorry TikTok is not available right now." Users have reported that another message appears in the app, which says, "The law banning TikTok has taken effect."
According to reliable sources, President Donald Trump has said that he will give TikTok 90 days after taking office next Monday to resolve this problem.
In March, the US House of Representatives passed the bill to ban TikTok. After that, the Senate also approved the bill in April. According to the law, ByteDance, the parent company of Chinese-owned TikTok, was given six months to sell its shares in the US, otherwise the app would be blocked.
