Germany vows to continue military aid to Israel despite continuing massacres in Gaza German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany is planning to support the Israeli military. Germany continues to support Israel despite Israel's blockade of northern Gaza and ongoing attacks in Lebanon.
Olaf Scholz said, "It is clear that supporting Israel means that we are constantly ensuring Israel's defense capabilities." He also advised Israel to abide by international law.
Israel has been wreaking havoc in Gaza for almost a year. It is fueled by the United States and its allies. They have been providing support to Israel as well as huge amounts of arms. As a result, the situation in Gaza is deteriorating day by day. The occupying forces are attacking various parts of Lebanon without stopping the war in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Philippe Lazzarini, head of the United Nations' Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA), said Gaza had become a "wasteland" that was now almost "uninhabitable".
Famine could return to Gaza, Lazzarini told a news conference in Berlin on Wednesday. There, vast areas have been destroyed as a result of the Israeli invasion of Palestinian territory.
He said, today a real risk has arisen. We are entering a situation where, unfortunately, there is a possibility of famine or acute malnutrition again. He expressed fear that the coming winter and the weak immune system of the common people in Gaza could create a dire situation.
Referring to the issue of aid distribution, Lazzarini said that no aid has entered northern Gaza in the past two to three weeks except yesterday.
