Bata Group meets Prime Minister, holds important discussions on investment and industrial development

Bata Group Global CEO Panos Mytaros paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister during his visit to Bangladesh. He was accompanied by Bata Bangladesh Managing Director Faria Yasmin. The meeting held constructively on future plans and industrial development between the two sides.
In the meeting held on Thursday, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman praised Bata Group's long-standing contribution to the country's economy and industrial sector. He encouraged the company to further expand its export potential and assured that the government will continue to support Bata's progress.
Bata Group CEO Panos Mytaros presented his vision for the growing economic potential of Bangladesh and the development of the footwear industry. He reiterated his commitment to contribute to industrial development through ongoing and future investment plans in the country and building local capacity.
Bata's social initiatives also gained importance in the discussion. The issue of creating a positive impact on society through various programs for children and responsible and inclusive initiatives was highlighted in particular.
Bata Bangladesh Finance Director Ilias Ahmed and Human Resources Director Malik Mehdi Kabir were also present at the meeting.
Bata Bangladesh said it is committed to providing world-class, comfortable, innovative and affordable products to the people of the country. The company expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his time and cooperation.
