Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt has once again come under discussion about a controversial photoshoot she did almost three decades ago. In a recent interview, she said that the purpose of that photoshoot was never to create controversy; rather, it was an aesthetic work of art, which she did because she liked it.
Pooja Bhatt said that the photoshoot was inspired by a famous magazine cover of Hollywood star Demi Moore. She was impressed after seeing the picture and agreed to the offer of a similar creative work. The photoshoot was completed in a very short time under the supervision of fashion designer Anna Singh.
According to the actress, although there was widespread discussion and criticism after the picture was released, she never viewed the matter negatively. According to her, some people criticized it, but many also praised the work. However, due to some major events in the country at that time, the matter gradually went into hiding.
In the interview, Pooja clarified that the biggest misconception about the picture was that she was completely nude in the photoshoot. She claimed that in reality she was wearing underwear and everything was done within the time frame of the work. Therefore, she believes that many have misinterpreted the picture.
According to Pooja Bhatt, the photoshoot was an expression of her own choice, artistic sense and creativity. There was no intention to create any propaganda or controversy. She expressed surprise that the picture was still being discussed after three decades, saying that people now see the picture as a memorable cultural moment.
