Popular Indian actor Dev has been slammed by netizens for posting a picture of his new film 'Raghu Dakat' on social media.
The film 'Raghu Dakat', which was set to be released at the box office this year, was announced a few years ago. The first look was also released, but later the work on the film suddenly stopped.
Recently, Dev is busy promoting the film with his entire team at 'Bengal's Biggest Carnival'. As part of that promotion, he posted the picture on Tuesday, where he is seen standing in a stagnant water in Kolkata with his eyes closed and both hands clenched in the pose of 'Raghu Dakat'.
But just the night before the picture was posted, public life was disrupted due to five hours of continuous rain in Kolkata and adjacent areas. As soon as the picture was posted, a storm of comments from netizens arose.
One person wrote, "A crocodile floated in the Ghatal water." Another commented, “He gave the right thing on the right day.” Another said, “Raghu Dakat got wet in the Venice of Kolkata.”
Some netizens expressed their displeasure at Dev’s post, calling it insensitive, writing, “How heartless someone would have to be to share this picture.” However, some fans took the picture as a joke and praised the actor’s performance.
This mix of the film’s promotion and netizen reactions has made Dev’s ‘Raghu Dakat’ even more of a talking point.
