5 Bangladeshi films at the 98th Oscars—Which one will make history?

Five full-length films have been submitted from Bangladesh to participate in the 'Best International Feature Film' category at the 98th Oscar Awards. The Oscar Bangladesh Committee will nominate and send one film from these films.
The Oscar Committee, formed under the supervision of the Bangladesh Federation of Film Societies (BFFS), called for films earlier this month. The deadline for submission was September 16.
The five films submitted
1. Saba
2. Bari Naam Shahana
3. Nakshikantha Zamin
4. Priyo Malati
5. Moyna
Of these five films, Bari Naam Shahana is releasing this Friday and Saba will be released on September 26. The remaining three films have already been released in theaters.
Selection process
Oscar Committee President and BFFS President Zahirul Islam said that a selection committee has already been formed. The screening of the films will begin next Saturday (September 20) and the final decision will be taken by September 26.
He said, “The films will be reviewed individually and together. A selection will be sent from among the films that meet international standards.”
