Popular star Prarthana Fardin Dighir was supposed to play the role of Nirupama in the government-funded film 'Dena-Paona' based on the story of Rabindranath Tagore. However, at the last moment, the role went to popular actress Sadia Jahan Prabha.
This is not the first time. She has had to face such an experience in many controversial films before. Tama Mirza replaced Dighir in the movie 'Suranga'. Again, Pooja Cherry was included in the movie 'Tagore', which was released last Eid, instead of Dighir. This time she was dropped from 'Dena Paona'.
In this regard, director Sadeq Siddiqui said, "Dighi was contracted for this movie. But he could not give time. That is why Prabha has been cast in the role of Nirupama. There is no conflict. We have a good relationship. We miss her."
Earlier, several directors had accused Dighir of unprofessional behavior. Both Alok Hasan, the director of the movie 'Tagore', and Raihan Rafi, the director of the movie 'Suranga', made this complaint.
On the other hand, in 'Dena-Paona', Prabha is playing the role of Nirupama. Opposite her, Mamnun Emon is playing the role of a magistrate and the son of a landlord in Kolkata.
The journey of the movie is going to start anew with Prabha. Now the audience will have their eyes on - can Prabha fill the irreplaceable void of Dighi?
