Wipe Pakistan off the map: Kangana Ranaut

Published: 03:48 10 May 2025
Bollywood actress and newly elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has once again faced controversy for her anti-Pakistan remarks. Recently, in the wake of the rising tension on the India-Pakistan border, Kangana attacked Pakistan on her Instagram story as a "disgusting country full of terrorists". Without stopping here, she also said, "Where are the cockroaches? A cunning and disgusting country full of terrorists... it should be wiped off the world map."
A fierce debate has started on social media surrounding this comment. Some are interpreting her statement as patriotism, while others are criticizing it as politically motivated. Recently, several Bollywood stars have taken an anti-Pakistan stance by supporting the Indian Army. On the other hand, Pakistani stars are strongly criticizing India's military actions. As a result, a kind of cold war has been created in the entertainment world of the two countries.
Amid this controversy, Kangana Ranaut left India on Friday night. It is learned that she went to New York, America, not for personal reasons, but for the shooting of her new Hollywood project 'Be the Evil'. Hollywood stars Tyler Posey and Scarlett Rose Stallone are acting alongside Kangana in this horror film. The film is being directed by Anurag Rudra.
Kangana's comments on national security and the army are not new. Earlier, she made headlines for her anti-Pakistan comments on the Jammu and Kashmir issue. In a post, she wrote, "Jammu is under attack. Indian Air Defense has shot down a Pakistani drone in Jammu. Jammu, don't lose courage."
Recently, Kangana's directed and acted in the movie 'Emergency' was released, in which she played the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Although the film is at the center of political discussions, it could not do much at the box office or on OTT. Currently, Kangana does not have any major projects except 'Be the Evil'.
