Dhaka, 14 February 2025: The dance drama ‘Dilnawaz’ will be staged at the main auditorium of the National Theatre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka this evening. A heart-warming love story written by Urdu-speaking writer Rahat Ara Begum a century ago is now coming to the Dhaka stage as a dance drama, having been appreciated worldwide. The dance drama is being performed by Sadhana, which will start at 5:30 pm.
Mubashshira Kamal will dance as the main character of the story, Dilnawaz. Regarding this, she said, “It is a big responsibility. I am mainly a Bharatanatyam artist, but in ‘Dilnawaz’ I have to do Kathak and Sufi dance.”
Abu Naeem danced as Prince Shamsher, and Umme Habiba played the role of the bride. A group of talented dancers from Dhaka also participated in this dance drama. Abu Naeem said, "It is a pleasure for us to present this heart-warming story to the younger generation."
