Singer arrested for singing without hijab

The singer was arrested on Saturday in the city of Sari in Mazandaran province, about 280 kilometers from the Iranian capital Tehran, her lawyer Milad Panahipour said.
Parastu Ahmadi, a 27-year-old singer, has been sentenced for singing without a hijab during a virtual concert posted on YouTube. The video was viewed 74,000 times in 12 hours, the Times of Israel reported.
The report said the Iranian government is considering legal action against her for singing in a revealing black dress.
The report also said that there was no audience at the concert. It was broadcast only online.
