Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives of the interim government, has taken part in the written test for admission to the Masters program of North South University. He took part in the admission test for the summer session-2025 of the 'Executive Masters in Policy and Governance' (EMPG) program run under the university's School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
On Friday (April 25) evening, the program's director, Professor Dr. Md. Aminul Islam, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post. He said, our admission test was held today from 10 am to 1 pm. A student named Asif Mahmud took part in the test. Later, we learned that he is an advisor to the ministry.
He also said that the results of the admission test will be published in the next one to two days. Only those who pass it will get the opportunity to be admitted.
Earlier, since the afternoon, a picture of Advisor Asif Mahmud participating in the university admission test was circulated on social media and positive discussions started in various circles about it.
The Executive Masters in Policy and Governance (EMPG) run by the Center for Governance Studies of North South University is a specialized masters program. It is an educational program prepared for policymakers, administrative officers, development workers and researchers. This program provides integrated knowledge on public policy, administrative skills, leadership and good governance.
Under the program, lessons are given on government policymaking and analysis (public policy analysis), governance and institutional studies, economics for policymakers, research methods, public administration management, leadership and strategic management, and other subjects.
