Press conference against BNP leader for not registering land in Keshabpur

Published: 02:04 21 December 2025
A press conference has been held against BNP leader Wazed Ali Khan Dablu, alleging that he did not register the land in Keshabpur even after executing the deed. A woman named Kohinur Begum of Mangalkot village of the upazila raised the complaint by holding a press conference at the Keshabpur Press Club meeting on Sunday afternoon.
At the press conference, Kohinur Begum said that she had executed a deed for the purchase of 7.50 percent land located at 3645 of Khatian No. 75 of Madhyakul Mouza on March 25, 2020, from Wazed Ali Khan Dablu, a resident of Madhyakul village of the upazila. The price of the land was fixed at 7 lakh 50 thousand taka. The deed was executed with three non-judicial stamps worth 100 taka, and at that time Dablu received 50 thousand taka from her. Later, after two amins measured the land and explained it to her, she built a house there and started living, whose holding number is 096.
She also said that due to some errors in the land documents, the land registry could not be completed within the stipulated time. Then on July 12, 2020 and July 24, 2021, Wazed Ali Khan Dablu signed and accepted another 4 lakh 50 thousand taka on the deed. But now she is denying the deed and has filed a case in the court to evict her, calling her a tenant. Kohinoor Begum also alleged that she is being intimidated in various ways.
In the wake of the incident, she said that she filed a general diary (GD) with the police station on May 1, 2025. She also alleged that since then, Wazed Ali Khan Dablu and his family members have been trying to harm her in various ways.
It was further alleged at the press conference that on April 3, 2024, Dablu disconnected the electricity meter from her house and destroyed the vegetables and plants on the land she was occupying. She also claimed that she was injured in two beatings when she went to her house.
Kohinur Begum said that Wazed Ali Khan Dablu, being the publicity and publication secretary of Keshabpur Upazila BNP, is continuing these injustices and tortures by using the party's influence. For this reason, she strongly demanded the expulsion of Wazed Ali Khan Dablu from the leaders of Jessore district and Keshabpur Upazila BNP. At the same time, she sought the intervention of the administration to ensure her safety and complete the documents of the pledged land, drawing attention through a press conference.
