Father of abducted journalist from Jhalakathi rescued from Bagerhat after two days.

Police rescued Ismail Molla alias Aynal Haque, father of journalist Molla Shaon, from Barakpur area of Bagerhat, two days after he went missing from Jhalakathi.
He was rescued from inside the Barakpur Youth Development Project in Bagerhat around 7 pm on Thursday (November 7). The operation was led by SI Gautam Saha of Bagerhat Police Station. The rescued Ismail Molla was later handed over to Jhalakathi Police Station.
Earlier, journalist Molla Shaon (Sohag) filed a general diary (GD No. 200) with Jhalakathi Sadar Police Station regarding his disappearance on November 5. In the application, he mentioned that his father Ismail Mollah (65) went missing on November 2 while visiting his daughter's house in Ward No. 3 of Jhalakathi Municipality, Rupnagar.
The GD states that on November 5, around 11 am, the daughter left him at "Naina Mason Cloth Shop" and went to his house. But after just 48 minutes, she returned and could not find her father. Despite extensive searches, a GD was filed with the police station.
Ismail Mollah's physical description states that he is 5 feet 8 inches tall, fair-skinned, with white hair and beard, a long face, and was wearing a white lungi and Punjabi at the time of his disappearance.
After his rescue, journalist Mollah Shaon alleged, "My father was not missing, he was abducted in a planned manner." He claimed, “I have a long-standing legal dispute with the accused. On July 8, the accused hacked me to death and left me bleeding on the road. Later, I went to Chennai for treatment and after returning, I filed a case against them. The accused kidnapped my father as he was the main witness in that case.”
He further said that CCTV footage and call records have been found as evidence. He is currently preparing to file a new case against the kidnappers.
The suspects mentioned in the GD include —
Nasif Mahmud Apu alias Shovon Howlader (Organizing Secretary of Dhansiri Union Chhatra League, accused in multiple cases),
Akhtaruzzaman alias Abu Akhter (Organizing Secretary of Dhansiri Union Awami League),
Oli alias Oliullah (a hired terrorist from Banglabazar, Barisal),
Tipu and Dipu Howlader (members of Chhatra League),
Awlad Hossain Ripon Talukder (owner of Jhuma Kotex),
In addition, the names of several other unidentified persons are also included.
SI of Jhalokati Police Station Md. Riazul Islam said, “We have started a full investigation into the incident. The rescued Ismail Molla is currently undergoing treatment. Legal action will be taken after verifying the information received regarding the kidnapping allegations.”
The incident has created widespread discussion in the area. The local journalist community and family expressed relief at the rescue of Ismail Molla alive and demanded exemplary punishment for the kidnappers.
