Coordinator has multiple loves despite having a wife, breaking up 5-year marriage!

Md. Jihad Shahariar Sumon, the joint convener of the recently dissolved Khoksa Upazila branch of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has been accused of extramarital affairs with multiple women by his wife, Md. Rima Khatun. Jihad has been addicted to extramarital affairs for a long time in their 5-year marriage, alleges his wife Rima Khatun. It has been alleged that after receiving the coordinator and allowance money, his addiction to extramarital affairs has increased twofold.

In the hope of fair justice, Rima Khatun recently filed a written complaint with the Khoksa police station on August 24. However, the OC did not receive the complaint.

Md. Jihad Shahariar (Sumon) is the son of Md. Akks Ali Mallick, UP member of Ward No. 1 of Gosaidangi village of Jayantihajra union in Khoksa upazila. His wife Rima Khatun is the daughter of Md. Jalal Biswas of Bauragipara of the same union.

Rima Khatun said, Jihad has been associating with different girls since marriage. He has developed physical relations with them by showing various temptations. When I forbid him, he beats and intimidates me. Jihad divorced me verbally 15 days ago. I have filed a complaint with the police station and UNO office in the hope of fair trial.

Rima's father Jalal Biswas said, "Son-in-law Hujur is a Kariyana teacher. They got married 5 years ago with the consent of both families. Son-in-law Jihad tortured my daughter at different times. Such a character of a Hujur was not known before. We poor people have approached the administration demanding fair trial. We want fair trial.

When we went to the house of accused Jihad on the spot, he was not found. When he was not found even after waiting for a long time, we talked to Jihad's mother Hasina Khatun. She said, Rima Khatun (grandmother) went to her father's house 15 days ago. If they have filed a complaint with the police station, then what else can we do? We want to take the grandmother. However, Jihad's mother Hasina Khatun denied all the allegations against her son.

When contacted on the mobile phone of accused Md. Jihad Shahariar Sumon, he said,
My political opponent is hatching a deep conspiracy against me to get me into trouble. When asked about the allegations of extramarital affairs with multiple women, he denied all the allegations and said that he has a relationship with one or two women and occasionally talks on the phone, that's all.

Khoksa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Moinul Islam said that he has not received any complaint. Legal action will be taken if the complaint is received.

Khoksa Upazila Nirbahi Officer Pradipto Roy Dipan said that his wife has filed a complaint against a person named Md. Jihad Shahariar Sumon, who is addicted to extramarital affairs with various women. The matter will be investigated very soon.
