Abducted madrasa student rescued in RAB operation in Pabna, kidnapper arrested

Madrasa student Ramzan Ali (13) who was abducted from Chatmohar in Pabna was rescued by RAB. Mehdi Hasan Sagar (25), a member of the kidnapping gang, has been arrested in this incident.
The abducted person was rescued from Baralbridge area of Bhangura upazila on Saturday (November 02) night. And the kidnapper was arrested from Ishwardi railway station area on Sunday afternoon.
RAB Commander Mohammad Ilyas Khan gave this information in a press conference at Pabna RAB office on Sunday (03 November).
Abducted student Ramzan Ali is the son of Aku Molla of Charikol village in Haripur Union of Chatmohar Upazila and a 5th class student of Charikol Dakhil Madrasa.
And the arrested abductor is Mehdi Hasan Sagar (25), son of deceased Ainuddin of Dublahati village of Naogaon Sadar Upazila.
The RAB Commander said that Ramzan left his house last Wednesday after saying that he was going to his house under the Atgharia police station. That evening, the victim's family came to know that Ramzan Ali had not gone to his grandmother's house. After much searching, on the same day night, the victim's mother demanded a ransom of 60,000 taka to get her son back through an unknown mobile phone.
Following this incident, the victim's mother Maina Khatun filed a kidnapping case against unknown persons at the Chatmohar police station on Thursday. Based on the source of the case, RAB started intelligence surveillance to rescue Ramzan Ali and arrest the abductors.
Following this, a joint raid team of CPC-2 Pabna and CPSC Bogra with the cooperation of RAB headquarters' intelligence wing managed to rescue the abductee from Baral Bridge area. Sensing the presence of RAB, the kidnappers managed to escape.
Mehdi Hasan Sagar, a member of the kidnap gang, was arrested from Ishwardi railway station area on Sunday afternoon. Later the rescued victim was handed over to the family. And the arrested has been handed over to Chatmohar police station.
