A case has been filed against three police officers including the former OC of Sharsha police station in the case of arresting Mahir Sardar of Tengrali of Sharsha from Jessore jail gate and extorting money under the threat of cross fire. Mahir Sardar's wife Nasreen Sultana filed the case as plaintiff on Wednesday. Senior Judicial Magistrate Rahmat Ali ordered the PBI to investigate the allegations and submit a report.

The accused are Moniruzzaman, then officer-in-charge of Sharsha police station, SI Sheikh Sujat Ali and SI Mamunur Rashid. According to the complaint in the case, during regular patrolling in 2017, the accused SI Sheikh Sujat Ali and SI Mamunur Rashid stopped the motorcycle and checked the documents of Mihir Ali. At that time, the two police officers demanded bribe from Mihir Ali. Mihir Ali left without paying the bribe money. Meanwhile, the two police officers threatened to take a look.

Meanwhile, Mihir Ali went to jail in a case. In 2017, when he was released from Jessore Central Jail after being released on bail, the accused took him to an unknown place in a private car dressed in white. On this day, not finding Mihir Ali, the relatives made a GD at Kotwali police station. The next day, Asmira threatened Mihir Ali with crossfire and demanded ten lakh rupees from his wife Nasreen Sultana. In order to save the life of Mihir Ali, his wife raised five lakh rupees by pledging loans and land, the accused came to his house around 6:30 pm and took the money. The next day, Mihir Ali was physically tortured and admitted to the hospital for not paying the other five lakh taka and sent to the court in two pending cases.
