RAB-4 has arrested Saidul Islam, former president of Dhaka District North Branch Chhatra League. He was arrested from his home on Sunday afternoon. He was later handed over to the police in a murder case filed at Savar Model Police Station.
The family of the arrested Saidul said that since the dissolution of the committee in March of this year, he completely withdrew from politics. He did not participate in any party program even during the student movement. So after the fall of the Awami League government, all the leaders fled from Savar, but he stayed at home.

However, according to police sources, a case has been registered in his name at the police station on the basis of a specific complaint. It is said that operations are underway to arrest the other accused in the case.
Savar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jewel Miah said that he will be sent to court after arresting him in the case filed in connection with the murder of the student.
