18 BGB initiates training for unemployed youth in Panchagarh

With the aim of transforming educated and unemployed youth of Panchagarh's border area into skilled human resources and creating opportunities for self-employment, an electric house wiring training program has been started by Panchagarh-18 BGB.

The training program was inaugurated on Sunday afternoon in the hall of Bhajanpur Dwimukhi High School in Tentulia upazila of the district. 30 unemployed youth from the border area are participating in the training. They will be given theoretical and practical training on electric house wiring.

According to BGB sources, this initiative has been taken as part of the socio-economic development and public welfare activities of the border community in addition to protecting the border and ensuring the sovereignty of the country. Through training, self-employment opportunities will be created for the youth and they will also be able to play a role in improving the financial condition of the family.

Apart from this, the BGB said that one of the goals of this program is to keep the youth of the border area away from various social crimes including drugs, terrorism, smuggling and to develop them into skilled, aware and responsible citizens.

The training program was officially inaugurated by Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Mohammad Kayes, Commander of Panchagarh-18 BGB Battalion, as the chief guest at the event. He urged the trainees to take the training with attention and sincerity and apply the acquired knowledge in real life. According to him, such training will play an important role in making the youth of the border area skilled manpower as well as building a safe, aware and prosperous society.
