Light fog has been seen in Dhaka's Uttara area for two consecutive days. As a layer of fog has formed across the area from dawn to dusk, locals are getting a message of the arrival of winter.
Usually, dense fog is not seen in Dhaka before November. However, this year, light fog is being seen comparatively earlier. Meteorological experts say that due to the weakening influence of the monsoon, the night temperature is dropping rapidly, resulting in fog cover in the early morning and in the morning.
Local residents said that for the past two days, light fog has been visible on the roads in Uttara area when going out in the morning. Many people think that this time winter may start coming early.
The Meteorological Department said that light fog may appear in some parts of Dhaka, including the northern part of the country, in the morning for the next few days. However, they believe that the level of fog may increase from the first week of November.
