Training workshop held for transport workers on noise pollution control in Panchagarh

On Saturday (November 30), at 11 am, a training workshop was held for transport workers/drivers under the Integrated and Participatory Project for Noise Pollution Control in Panchagarh at the conference room of the Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner.
In this, Panchagarh Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), S. M. Imam Raji Tulu presided over the training workshop. Additional Superintendent of Police, Panchagarh (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police) S. M. Shafiqul Islam, Medical Officer of the Civil Surgeon's Office, Panchagarh Dr. Nishat Anjum Murphy, Principal of Technical Training Center, Panchagarh Md. Abdul Halim were present as resource persons.
The training workshop was attended by the Assistant Director of the Department of Environment, Panchagarh, Md. Yusuf Ali, who delivered the welcome speech, presented an awareness presentation on noise pollution control, and displayed a video, and Dr. Nishat Anjum Murphy presented a speech on the impact of noise pollution on public health. In addition, representatives of print and electronic media, trainees of the Technical Training Center, transport workers/drivers of Panchagarh District Bus, Minibus, Coach, Microbus Workers Union and Panchagarh District Truck, Tank Lorry and Curb Van Workers Union were present in the training workshop.
