Mobile court operation to protect the environment in Panchagarh: 2500 taka fine

On Wednesday, November 27, under the "Integrated and Partnership Project to Control Noise Pollution" implemented by the Panchagarh Department of Environment, a joint initiative of the Panchagarh District Administration and the Department of Environment, conducted a mobile court in the Panchagarh Sadar Union Parishad premises on Panchagarh-Tentulia Road in Sadar Upazila of the district. A total of 2,500/-(two thousand five hundred) taka fine was imposed on the drivers of 01 (one) bus and 04 (four) trucks and 08 (eight) hydraulic horns used for sounding the horns in excess of the prescribed standard were seized.

Panchagarh Sadar Assistant Commissioner (Land), and learned Executive Magistrate Mohan Minji led the drive and Assistant Director of the Department of Environment, Panchagarh District Office Md. Yusuf Ali served as the prosecutor. A team of members of the Panchagarh District Police assisted in conducting the drive. During this time, awareness stickers were pasted on various vehicles.
