BGB arrested 36 people including brokers while going to India illegally

Maheshpur Battalion (58 BGB) arrested 36 Bangladeshis including brokers while illegally entering India through Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah.
18 people were arrested on Monday (November 11) and 16 people and a broker on Tuesday.
According to the press release given by BGB, BGB came to know that Bangladeshi nationals are illegally crossing Maheshpur border to India through secret information. Meanwhile, the BGB patrol team arrested 12 women, 15 men and eight children from the border areas of Matila, Baghadanga, Samanta, Khosalpur, Polianpur and Srinathpur of Maheshpur upazila in a special operation. The arrested persons are residents of different districts of Bangladesh. Legal action is being taken against them.
Apart from this, an Indian citizen was detained while entering Bangladesh from India and handed over to Maheshpur police station after legal proceedings.
It is to be noted that since November 1, a total of 114 people have been arrested from Maheshpur and Jibannagar areas while crossing the border illegally and handed over to the police station through legal process.
