Mishu, a brilliant student of Pabna, has not been killed in 6 years

Although six years have passed since the murder of SM Mishkat Ahmed Mishu, a second year meritorious student of Chemistry Department of Pabna Government Edward College, the murder has not been resolved. Relatives of the deceased Mishur alleged that they are being deprived of justice.
On the night of November 7, 2018, he was brutally killed by miscreants on the ground of Pabna Government Edward College. The miscreants made this incident by calling on the mobile phone in the evening. Mishu is the son of Syed Gholam Mustafa, Assistant Professor of Political Science Department of Pabna College.
The family alleged that Mishu was killed premeditated. First, the Pabna Sadar police station after investigating the Mishu murder case filed a charge sheet excluding the main accused. But a protest petition was filed on the charge sheet submitted by the family. Later the court entrusted the case to PBI for further investigation and necessary legal action. Although it has been six years since Mishu's murder, the family is worried about getting justice.
Syed Golam Mostafa, the father of the deceased Mishu, a college teacher, said, "After killing my child, I filed a murder case at the Pabna Sadar Police Station against unknown persons." The police investigated and found evidence of 6 people's involvement in this murder. Yachin Ali Rahat, one of the accused in this case, was arrested by the police from Dhaka. He also gave a statement under section 164 to the magistrate of the court. In his confession, the information of Tajul Islam, an influential leader of the student organization of the then Awami League government and his associate Taslim Hossain Setu and his other 6 associates were involved in this murder.
He complained, "The police omitted the names of Tajul Islam and his associate Taslim Hossain Setu, the influential leader of the student organization of the ruling party, from the charge sheet filed in the court without submitting the investigation report according to the confessional statement of Rahat, who was arrested in the investigation for unknown reasons." Then I filed a protest petition against the charge sheet filed. A month after the court filed the chargesheet, the case was handed over to the PBI, Pabna, for further investigation. PBI wasted time in the name of investigation for three years and filed the charge sheet in the court. At present the case is proceeding at a slow pace.
Lutfa Shirin Luna, the mother of the deceased Mishkat, was overcome with emotion and said, "It has been 6 years since I lost my friend." I know my college money will not return. But I want that the murderers who killed my friend should be arrested and punished. Due to political influence, the appeal to the concerned parties including the current interim government head has not been resolved even after 6 years. This time surely the real accused including influential murderers will be brought under the law and will face tough trial.
When contacted in this regard, Sub-Inspector (SI) PBI office Pabnastha Sohel Hossain, investigating officer of the case, said, "The progress of the case is quite satisfactory." All the technical matters and previous investigation reports, depositions have been submitted to the court after the investigation of this case. Now it's a matter of court.
