Complaints of charging extra fare to passengers without tickets, two railway employees dismissed

Two railway employees of the Pakshi divisional office of the Western Railway have been suspended for allegedly collecting extra money in the name of fare collection from ticketless passengers.
On Thursday (October 31) afternoon, Pakshi Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain confirmed the suspension of two railway employees. Earlier on Wednesday (October 30) afternoon, the incident took place in the Dhalarchar Express train from Chapainawabganj to Pabna.
The dismissed are Train Director (Guard) Zakaria Sohag and Ticket Observer (TTE) Nayan Islam.
According to the Pakshi Divisional Office of Western Railway, the Dhalarchar Express left Rahanpur station for Pabna Dhalarchar at around 3:30 pm on Wednesday. TTE Nayan Islam in charge of the train and Zakaria Sohag, the train director, did not give tickets to some ticketless passengers with extra money.
Later, the passengers complained to some students on the train from Rajshahi station. The TTE and the guards in charge of the firing at the students initially denied the matter but later admitted and apologized to the students. Later, when the students reported the matter to Rajshahi Western Railway officials, a notification signed by the Pakshi Railway Divisional Authority ordered the suspension of the two.
Earlier on September 8, Zakaria Sohag and two other railway employees were fired in the face of student firing. A month later, this train director was fired again in the face of students' fire.
When the accused train director (guard) Zakaria Sohag was called to talk about this, he identified himself as a journalist and disconnected the phone. Didn't pick up the phone after that.
Accused TTE Nayan Islam said, "The incident is not as you have heard. Passengers without tickets are given a standing ticket along with the fare of 2-3 people according to the route. As a result, the ticket remains in one's hands. And those students brought those who did not have it and began to interrogate us and videoed it on their mobile phones. At one stage, I was forced to admit that I had collected extra money in the face of their cannon.
Pakshi Divisional Railway Transport Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain said, "Two persons have been temporarily suspended for taking extra money from passengers without tickets. '
Western Railway Pakshi Divisional Manager (DRM) Shah Sufi Noor Muhammad said, 'I am currently staying in Dhaka. But I heard about the dismissal. Departmental action will be taken against them.'
