Human chain and rally in Phulbari demanding withdrawal of false cases against journalists in Kurigram

A human chain and rally was held to protest against the murder of 3 journalists of Kurigram in the case of Ashiq, who was killed in the anti-discrimination movement in Kurigram, and to demand the withdrawal of the conspiratorial false case.
On Monday around 12:30 noon, this human chain and rally was held in front of Phulbari Upazila Parishad of Kurigram organized by Phulbari journalists. Senior journalists Aminul Islam, Abdul Aziz Majnu, Nurnabi Mia, ordinary students, Ariful Islam, Limon Mia, Mehdi Hasan and Atiq Hasan etc. spoke in it.
The speakers said that on August 4, journalists were attacked by the leaders of the then government party in Ghoshpara along with the Kurigram Press Club and the municipal market. Since the beginning of the movement, journalists have supported the students in various ways. Even the children of some journalists were involved in the student movement. Kurigram Press Club general secretary Abdul Khaleeq Farooq, sports secretary Humayun Kabir Surya and member Yusuf Alamgir were accepted by the police without any investigation into the conspiracy case. Therefore, the speakers immediately demanded the withdrawal of the false case against the three journalists of Kurigram Press Club. If the demand is not met, it is said that the movement program will be developed.
