A human chain and rally was held to protest against the murder of 3 journalists of Kurigram in the case of Ashiq, who was killed in the anti-discrimination movement in Kurigram, and to demand the withdrawal of the conspiratorial false case.
On Monday around 12:30 noon, this human chain and rally was held in front of Phulbari Upazila Parishad of Kurigram organized by Phulbari journalists. Senior journalists Aminul Islam, Abdul Aziz Majnu, Nurnabi Mia, ordinary students, Ariful Islam, Limon Mia, Mehdi Hasan and Atiq Hasan etc. spoke in it.
The speakers said that on August 4, journalists were attacked by the leaders of the then government party in Ghoshpara along with the Kurigram Press Club and the municipal market.
