Injured 2 in clash over purchase of goods of VWB, case in the name of chairman

A clash took place in Chilmari of Kurigram over the purchase of goods for the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) programme. 2 people were injured in the clash on Monday afternoon. Both sides filed a case in this incident. Thanahat UP Chairman Abdur Razzak Milan has been made a defendant in the order in a case.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chilmari Model Police Station Pran Krishna Debnath Thanahat UP Chairman Abdur Razzak confirmed the truth of the case and said that both sides have filed a case in this incident.
According to eyewitnesses, when goods were distributed among some card holders of the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) program at Thanahat Union Parishad in Thanahat Union from 10 am on Monday, businessman Mominul Islam started buying rice by spreading a mat in front of the Thanahat Union Parishad.

At that time, Ashraful Alam Bakul and Chaul Karai got into an argument and push with Kendra Mominul. In the afternoon of this incident, Ashraful Alam Bakul and his companions attacked Mominul's house near Balabari Hat Malek Mor of Thanahat Union and the clash took place. Businessmen Mominul Islam, Ashraful Islam were injured in the clash. Among the injured, businessman Mominul Islam went home after receiving first aid, but Ashraful Islam is undergoing treatment at Chilmari Hospital.
Ashraful Alam Bakul said that some beneficiaries of the Vulnerable Women Benefit (VWB) program were not distributed due to irregularities in their cards. The distribution of goods to those card holders started on Monday. As a conscious citizen, I went to see the distribution of the goods of the complained card. Enraged by this, businessman Mominul Islam attacked me with his men.
Businessman Mominul Islam said, Ashraful Alam Bakul demanded a contribution from me through the influence of a political party. Due to non-payment of subscription, there was an incident of pushing and shoving with him on Monday afternoon. As a result of this, Bakul and his companions attacked my business and house in the afternoon and looted money.
In this incident, businessman Mominul Islam filed a case of house attack and money robbery in the name of 5 people including Ashraful Alam Bakul at Chilmari Model Police Station on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Ashraful Alam Bakul Thanahat Union Parishad chairman Abdur Razzak Milon filed a case in the name of 4 other people.
In this regard, Thanahat Union Parishad Chairman Abdur Razzak Milan said, Monday I was in Nilphamari on personal business. Still don't know much about the clash. I learned that I was sued as a defendant in the order. In this incident, I have been systematically involved in the case.
