BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said that the main task of the interim
government is to quickly complete the reforms and hold an election. There is no point in defaming anyone from BNP. Because the difference between BNP and other parties is that if someone from BNP commits a wrongdoing, the party will take action against them.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Jessore district BNP conference at the Jessore Eidgah ground on Saturday. At that time, he called on everyone in the party to remain united.

The BNP Acting Chairman said, ‘Now many are talking about reforms. However, BNP proposed 31-point reforms to form the state structure two and a half years ago.’ Addressing the party leaders and activists, he said, ‘These 31 points must now be conveyed to the people in the villages. It is now a big responsibility to inform the people about the work that BNP will do in education, women's development, economy and other sectors if it comes to power.'

He also said, 'Various things are said against various BNP leaders and activists, they are involved in such and such injustices. This is the difference between BNP and other parties, if someone from BNP does wrong, action is taken against him.'

It is worth noting that after 16 long years, there was excitement among the leaders and activists surrounding this BNP conference in Jessore. By 10 am, the Eidgah ground was filled with the presence of leaders and activists, delegates and councilors.

At 10:30 am, BNP Chairperson's Advisor Aman Ullah Aman inaugurated the conference. Voting will be held in the second session in the afternoon. Elections will be held for a total of eight posts, including the president, general secretary and organizing secretary. Delwar Hossain was elected unopposed as he was the only candidate for the post of general secretary.
