4,604 arrested in ‘Operation Devil Hunt’, weapons recovered!

In the ongoing ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ nationwide, law enforcement agencies have arrested 4,604 people in the last 72 hours. In the first 24 hours of this operation, which began on the night of February 8, 1,308 people were arrested. In the next 24 hours, 1,521 people were arrested and in the last 24 hours, 1,775 people were arrested, of which 607 were accused of ‘Devil Hunt’. In addition, various types of weapons have also been recovered from the police, including pistols, LGs, one-shooter guns, pipe guns, ramdas, chapatis and knives.
In addition, arrest operations are underway against various criminals and leaders and activists of political organizations. 81 people have been arrested in various places including Gazipur, and 40 people, including Awami League leader Md. Abdur Rahman (58), have been arrested in Ashulia.
Operation Devil Hunt is ongoing, and terrorists, criminals, drug dealers, notorious criminals, and other suspects are being arrested in this operation. The police headquarters said that if the operation continues successfully, the law and order situation in the country will be more stable.
Meanwhile, the government has confirmed that further operations will continue to suppress criminals and recover weapons.
