BNP announces program on Ziaur Rahman's birthday!

The party has announced a one-day program to mark the 89th birth anniversary of BNP founder and late President Ziaur Rahman. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the program after a joint meeting at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Thursday afternoon.
Standing Committee members and activists will pay their respects at Ziaur Rahman's tomb at 11 am on January 19. A discussion meeting will be held at the auditorium of the Engineers Institution in Ramna in the capital at 2 pm on the same day. Special supplements will be published by BNP in national dailies. Party flags will be hoisted at party offices across the country, including the central office. Initiatives will be taken to hold discussion meetings, doa mahfils and publish posters in various districts, metropolises, upazilas, police stations and units.
The joint meeting held in the presence of senior BNP leaders was attended by the party's Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Muktijoddha Dal's Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat and leaders of various organizations.
It is worth noting that former President Ziaur Rahman was born on January 19, 1936 in Gabtoli Upazila of Bogra. Party initiatives have been taken to properly observe the day in his memory.
