Syeda Rizwana Hasan, advisor to the interim government on environment, forests and climate, said that meetings with political parties on the proposals of the reform commissions will begin in mid-February. She gave this information at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday afternoon.
Earlier, the report of the reform commissions was published. Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that the reform commission will meet with this report. The next step will be finalized from here.
At the same time, Asif Nazrul, advisor on law, justice and parliamentary affairs, said that the reform proposals will be implemented based on consensus after discussing with the political parties.
Quoting the chief advisor, he said that it may take time until June next year to complete the expected reforms.
In response to a question from journalists whether the Awami League will be able to participate in the next election, the advisor on law said, "We are looking forward to the judicial process organized in July." If the verdict finds any party involved in the crime, we will have the opportunity to make many decisions in light of that.
However, he said, the interim government will not ban any party in advance.
