Platoon BGB members deployed in front of Bangabhaban

President Md. Two platoon BGB members have been deployed to avoid any untoward situation in front of the Bangabhaban and to maintain law and order due to the attempt to enter the Bangabhaban and the attack on the policemen on Tuesday (October 22) demanding Sahabuddin's resignation, the headquarters said.
Meanwhile, a large number of APBN, BGB, police and army personnel were seen armed in front of the main gate of Banga Bhavan in the morning. APC, Raitokar with water cannon have been kept ready.
Motijheel Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Shahriar Ali told Dhaka Post that an unexpected incident happened last night. The police were attacked. Several police personnel were injured in the attack.
He said, on the basis of monitoring and assessment of the overall situation, more security has been strengthened in Bangabhaban area on Wednesday morning. BGB has also been deployed here today.
When asked, BGB Headquarters Deputy Director General (Media) Colonel Mohammad Shariful Islam told Dhaka Post that two platoons of BGB members have been deployed in Bangabhaban area as per the demand of higher authorities to maintain law and order situation. They will cooperate with other law enforcement agencies.
