A.League's punishment will not be fulfilled even if he goes to jail for 100 years: Hasnat Abdullah

Published: 05:48 7 October 2024
Anti-discrimination student movement coordinator Hasnat Abdullah said that various political parties are heard saying that they have forgiven the Awami League in the students' solidarity rally on the occasion of the 5th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Abrar Fahad in front of the Shahbagh National Museum on Monday (October 7) afternoon. We want to say that the crimes committed by Awami League in the last 16 years, even if they go to jail for the next 100 years, their punishment will not be fulfilled
Hasnat Abdullah said, "You have violated the human rights of the people of this country, taken away the voting rights, made the common room-guestroom a concentration camp and tortured the students." If you ever want to return to the country, the student-citizen will decide whether you can stay in the country or not. Students-citizens have decided that as long as there is a post-24 Bangladesh, there will be no resettlement of fascism's friends, Lathial Bahini and collaborators in this country. Abandon the hope that you will sneak into this country.
He said that even though Sheikh Hasina escaped in the popular uprising, she is sitting in India and conspiring against the country. He is trying to propagandize the Western and Indian media to call our student uprising a Jihadi uprising. We want to say, it was not a jihadi uprising, it was an uprising of the oppressed against the oppressor. Those who had oppressed every inch of the country, we have buried their graves through this mass uprising. The students and citizens of this country will unite and stop those who will try to perpetrate oppression in the future and eradicate oppression.
Hasnat said that for the last 16 years, BCL terrorists have attacked students in all the campuses of the country. We have seen many teachers and proctors who indulged BCL terrorists. If someone dies in the BLA attack, he is Abrar, and whoever survives is Shibir. Today Chhatra League where are you, Saddam-Inan where are you? Through the anti-fascist movement, we have broken the teeth of Chhatra League.
Calling on the civil society, he said, "Raise your voice, why should not sedition cases be filed against those parliamentarians who have killed democracy in the last 16 years, tortured the BNP, tortured the camp by calling it 'vein cutting', buried dissent, questioned the last 3 elections?" ? Why will their assets not be confiscated?
At that time, he demanded the cancellation of the last 3 elections, the cancellation of the constitution and the removal of the president.
Convener of the National Citizen Committee Nasir Uddin Patwari, Dhaka University President of Student Camp Abu Sadiq Qayem, Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and Spokesperson of Ektar Bangladesh Tahmid Al Mudassir Chowdhury, Abdul Waheed of Revolutionary Students Parishad, Joint Convener of AB Party Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad and others spoke in the solidarity rally.
