Most anger is generated against the police due to the involvement in the killings due to the change of political pot. After August 5, 515 policemen-officials took shelter in the cantonment for the sake of security. Many have fled the country, many are in hiding.
The former Additional Commissioner of Police of DMP Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid is at the top of this list of fugitive police officers. He hasn't been fired yet. Haroon is number one on the list of police headquarters as an absconder.
Haroon Or Rashid is also on the top of the list of accused in the case filed in connection with the firing of law and order forces that took place before and after August 5. Among these cases, there is also the case of torture of then opposition chief whip BNP leader Zainal Abdin Farooq, which came into limelight in 2011.
After 13 years, last August 19, Zainal Abdin Farooq himself filed a case at DMP's Sherebangla Nagar police station. His name has been found in 38 cases so far. Finally, this officer was criticized more as the DB chief of DMP. He has not been seen in public since August 5.
