After the unrest of the past few months, all the industrial factories of the country have opened. All industrial factories have opened from September 25 today, Wednesday, in compliance with the 18-point demands of the workers.
Today, Wednesday 25th September, most of the garment factories in Savar, Gazipur have resumed production. In addition to the police deployment for security reasons, there are army and BGB patrols in the factory area.
In this regard, the workers say that they started the agitation for various demands due to the increase in the price of daily necessities. Now they are happy to meet the demand. Hope everyone can work peacefully now.
On Tuesday, September 24, a meeting was held between the employers and the workers in view of the ongoing labor demands at the secretariat. However, labor adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan has warned of strict action if there is unrest.
After the fall of the government, labor protests began in factories in Savar, Ashulia and Gazipur in late August. They have 18 points of demand, including revision of minimum wage, revision of labor law. However, the sector concerned has repeatedly mentioned foreign fuel in this protest. There was also an assurance to accept the demands of the workers.
