The identity of the police officer seen in the video of the body being piled up in a van on the road in front of Ashulia police station in Savar has been found. The policeman's name is Arafat Hossain. The house of this Inspector of Dhaka District North Intelligence Police is in Barishal. He studied in the Department of Geography and Environment, Jagannath University.

It has been found that Arafat's father Md. Arif Hossain is a retired headmaster of Badratuni Secondary School and former president of Harinathpur Union Awami League. Meanwhile, Arafat has covered his face since the video of the pile of dead bodies in the van went viral on social media. Where he is, no one can tell. The mobile phone used by him is also switched off.
