Former ministers of the previous Awami League government Amir Hossain Amu and Kamrul Islam have been brought to the International Crimes Tribunal in a case of crimes against humanity.
Former ministers Amir Hossain Amu and Kamrul Islam were produced before the International Crimes Tribunal today. They have been brought for the hearing of the case filed on charges of crimes against humanity committed during the student uprising.
They were taken from prison to the tribunal in a prison van at 10:20 am on Wednesday. 45 ministers, advisors and members of parliament of the previous Awami League government have been accused in this case. Many of them have already been arrested. The charges in the case mention information about crimes against humanity committed during the student uprising.
It is expected that important progress may be made in this case in today's hearing.
