Invest Bangladesh Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury given the status of State Minister

The government has given the status of State Minister to Invest Bangladesh Authority Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun (Ashiq Chowdhury). The decision will be effective immediately, the notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday (August 25) said.
Ashiq Chowdhury gets the status of State Minister
The notification said that Ashiq Chowdhury will receive the salary, allowances and other benefits applicable to a State Minister while serving as the Chairman of the Invest Bangladesh Authority.
The government's decision has been taken to support the Chairman in carrying out his duties as well as to further strengthen the activities of the Invest Bangladesh Authority in investment development and facilitation.
Cabinet Division Notification
A notification was issued by the Cabinet Division on Tuesday (August 25) in this regard. The notification mentioned the decision to give Ashiq Chowdhury the status of State Minister during his term of office.
The decision will be effective from the date of issuance, the notification said.
Role of Invest Bangladesh in investment promotion
The Invest Bangladesh Authority, which operates under the Prime Minister's Office, works to attract domestic and foreign investment in the country. At the same time, the organization also plays an important role in coordinating various investment-related services and initiatives.
Invest Bangladesh's activities are considered important in facilitating the investment environment and ensuring the necessary services for investors more effectively.
Why was the status of State Minister given?
The government notification said that the decision has been taken to grant the status of State Minister to the Chairman of Invest Bangladesh Authority to assist him in carrying out his duties and to further strengthen the role of the authority in investment development and facilitation.
As a result, Ashiq Chowdhury will receive the salary, allowances and other benefits applicable to a State Minister while serving as Chairman.
