Italian technology-based premium tiles brand ‘Milano Ceramics’ begins its journey

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita was present as the chief guest at the event organized with the theme ‘Essence of Italian Craft’. In addition, Excellent Ceramics Group Chairman Abdul Halim, Managing Director Abdul Hakim, Executive Director Imran Ahmed, RAJUK Chairman Engineer Md. Riazul Islam, Export Promotion Bureau Vice Chairman Md. Hasan Arif, Public Works Department Chief Engineer Md. Khalequzzaman Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association Mainul Islam, along with architects, entrepreneurs and representatives from various sectors participated.

The chief guest of the event said that Milano Ceramics, by combining modern Italian technology, international standards and environmentally friendly production processes, will open new possibilities in the country's ceramic industry. He expressed hope that such investment from the private sector will not only accelerate the pace of industrialization but also play a positive role in the sustainable economic development of the country.

RAJUK Chairman Engineer Md. Riazul Islam said that this new brand will be able to make a significant contribution to meeting the needs of the country's construction and housing sectors through advanced technology, attractive designs and quality production.

Excellent Ceramics Group Managing Director Abdul Hakim said that the company's goal is not only to produce ceramic tiles; but also to ensure new experiences for customers by providing aesthetic, sustainable and high-quality construction materials.

Speeches were also made on behalf of the company's international partners at the event. Francesco Piani, Area Manager of System Ceramics, Italy, and Sofia, Deputy Managing Director of HLT-DLT, highlighted various aspects of Italian technology and craftsmanship.

A colorful cultural program was part of the opening ceremony. It featured a fashion show centered on Milano tiles, Italian-style ballet dance, and special performances combining the cultures of Bangladesh and Italy. The stage decoration and venue of the event were inspired by the architectural style of the city of Milan, Italy. Italian music and traditional Italian food were also arranged for the guests.
