National Bank receives recognition as the top remittance bank recipient

National Bank Limited has recently received the “Top Remittance Bank Recipient 2024” recognition at the Bangladesh Remittance Fair 2024 held in the United States. It received this award as the second highest recipient of expatriate income from the United States to Bangladesh.
- Award Distribution and Arrangements
The award was received by the Chairman of the Bank, “Abdul Awal Mintoo”, at a ceremony organized at the National Bank’s head office in Bangla Motor, Dhaka. The crest was presented by “Raihanul Islam Chowdhury”, Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh-US Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ceremony was attended by the Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, “Md. Touhidul Alam Khan”, Deputy Managing Director, other senior officials and a delegation of the Bangladesh-US Chamber.
- Bank's Achievements and Commitments
Chairman Abdul Awal Mintu said that this recognition is mainly the result of the contribution of expatriate remittance warriors. He further mentioned that in 1994, National Bank started the initiative to bring expatriate income to Bangladesh through a partnership with Western Union.
Managing Director Md. Touhidul Alam Khan said that the bank has subsidiaries in various countries. He mentioned the goal of collecting more remittances in the future and emphasized on increasing remittances and exports to deal with the dollar crisis.

National Bank has been playing a leading role in receiving remittances for a long time. This recognition reflects the success of the bank's technological development, human resource management and strategic investments.
This proves that it is possible to make a significant contribution to the country's economy through skilled leadership and innovative measures.
