Students and local devout Muslims staged a protest rally after a teacher named Shri Ganesh Chandra Biswas insulted Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Kushtia Khoksa.
On Sunday afternoon, they blocked the road in front of Paikpara Mirzapur Secondary School and held a protest rally. The accused teacher Ganesh Chandra Biswas is the assistant teacher of that school.
Earlier, on October 8, the accused Ganesh Master made adverse comments about Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) while taking class VIII history class. In view of that incident, students and local devout Muslims held a protest rally today.
Khoksa police station OC Abdul Gafur said that the police went to the spot after receiving the information. At that time, the protestors withdrew the road blockade as they promised to arrest the abuser.
It may be noted that due to the school being closed on the occasion of Durga Puja, the students protested when the school opened today.
