A fire broke out at Bilasi Shopping Center in Balijuri Bazar of Jamalpur's Madarganj Upazila Sadar on Wednesday (August 27) at around 1 am. 3 units of fire service brought the fire under control after 4 hours of effort. The owner said that there was a loss of Rs.
It is known that the fire broke out in a shop named Bilasi Shopping located on the 2nd floor of Rifat Talukdar Market in Balijuri Bazaar of the upazila.
Rifat Talukder, director of the market, said that after getting the news, he went to the market and saw a lot of flames and black smoke coming out from the luxury shopping. When I saw it, I reported it to the Motherganj fire station. Later, 3 units from Madarganj, Melandah, Jamalpur brought the fire under control after 4 hours.
Delwar Hossain, warehouse inspector of Motherganj fire station, said that it is not possible to tell from where the fire started and how much money was lost without investigation. We managed to bring the fire under control with 3 units trying for 4 hours.
He also said that the store had a lot of clothes and shoes in stock. So the fire spread quickly. However, the fire service brought the fire under control before it spread to other parts of the market.
